If there’s one place you are sure to spot the bling, it’s at the Oscars. The 83rd Annual Academy Awards was no different with it showcasing multiple gem quality diamonds that leave one breathless. They showed up on necklaces, bracelets, rings, and earrings, paired with colorful gemstones, and in hair jewelry. It makes one wonder which was more beautiful the women wearing the diamonds or the luscious jewels.

The Diamond Girl

Nicole Kidman has a very big soft spot for diamonds, and she didn’t disappoint us this year either. She had on a vintage mine-cut diamond necklace that she used as a choker, with diamonds dripping down her back. It had over 150 carats of diamonds on it. Nicole is not someone afraid to wear all types of diamonds, not just classic cut ones. She has shown up in raw diamonds and vintage diamonds as much as she does with cut and polished diamonds.

What Goes with Orange?

Jennifer Hudson knows that diamonds go with everything, especially orange. Her Versace tangerine-colored gown was perfectly accented with three bracelets, a ring, and a pair of statement earrings – all loaded with diamonds. The diamond ring was 20-carats of diamonds all by itself. This is one actress that was not likely to go unnoticed or outshined, unless it was by the presenter of the evening, Anne Hathaway.

Presenting Diamonds

Anne Hathaway, one of the co-hosts of the night along with James Franco, didn’t just present the nominees, but presented a full showcase of diamond jewelry. With eight separate changes of designer gowns came out different accessories, and many of them were Tiffany diamonds. All in all, by the time the night was over, it’s estimated she wore over $10 million in Tiffany diamonds during the show. That’s what we call a real diamond show-stopper!
